Nomination for InterTraffic Amsterdam Innovation Award 2018

Dynniq nominated for the InterTraffic Amsterdam Innovation Award 2018

Today an international jury of mobility experts announced a shortlist of fifteen candidates for the prestigious Intertraffic Amsterdam Innovation Award. Out of more than sixty quality submissions, three finalists per category were selected after careful analysis and consideration. The five categories are: Infrastructure, Traffic Management, Safety, Parking and Smart Mobility.

Each nominees can win an award within their own category. Eventually one of the five category winners will be chosen as the winner of the Intertraffic Amsterdam Innovation Award 2018. The awards will be presented during the official opening ceremony of Intertraffic Amsterdam, the leading global trade fair for traffic technology. The exhibition will take place from March 20 to March 23, 2018 in RAI Amsterdam.

Dynniq is one of the nominees in the category Smart Mobility with the CrossCyle app. This app identifies cyclists sooner when they approach an intersection and gives them the green light more quickly. In addition to extending the green light for individual cyclists, the app also makes it possible to give priority to groups of cyclists. The other nominees in this category are: On-Street Parking Info (OSPI) of ParkNow and Find&Pay of EasyPark Group.

The jury had the following to say about the submissions: “This year we received fewer entries for the smart mobility category compared to previous years. However we see a clear trend of an overall ‘smart’ submissions within the more traditional categories, resulting in three particularly good proposals in terms of parking and infrastructure. Two of them are about smart parking; a vertical application integrated in the dashboard with a safe and user-friendly interface and a horizontal on a smartphone, allowing a large numbers of downloads. The third nominee is a wonderful application on the smart phone which initiates a green wave for cyclists in an urban traffic light network.” – Dr. Ir. B.J.C.M. (Ben) Rutten, Program Manager – Strategic Area Smart Mobility, Eindhoven University of Technology.
